49+ Can't Get Bmw Out Of Park Background

If i try to add the car through the bmw remote app i get an error saying unable to connect to the bmw server.

49+ Can't Get Bmw Out Of Park Background. I was very proud of myself until i discovered i now cannot get it out or park. I cannot get the parking brake to engage after rebuilding the actuator.

I lucked out in getting a tow truck guy with common sense who figured out how to manually disengage the lock. 1)you are not parked on a slope? When a bmw runs out of battery the automatic gearbox cant be moved out of park normally. How to differentiate between these two?
